The anime series is scheduled to premiere worldwide on Netflix in Spring 2022.Rie Kugimiya (Kekkai Sensen) is voicing the four-year-old Kotarou Satou. Tsumura began serializing the slice of life comedy manga in Big Comic Superior magazine in March 2015. Shogakukan shipped the seventh volume on September 30 last year. Kotarou wa Hitorigurashi has a cumulative of 1.4 million copies in circulation. The manga received a ten-episode live-action drama series that aired from April 24 to June 26 on TV Asahi this year.
