Fuji TV announced on Thursday that its late night programming block +Ultra entered a partnership with streaming platform Crunchyroll and planning and advertising company Slow Curve for new anime projects.

The three companies will proceed with the joint development after April 2022. The first two titles in the lineup are an original anime titled Estab Life—helmed by Gorou Taniguchi (Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch, Planetes), and a new collaboration between Polygon Pictures and manga creator Tsutomu Nihei (Sidonia no Kishi, Blame!).

Fuji TV unveiled +Ultra in March 2018 with the aim of producing high-quality anime series for the global audience, contrasting noitaminA's largely domestic audience. The programming block began with Ingress the Animation in Fall 2018. Some notable titles aired in the block include Carole & Tuesday, Beastars, BNA, and Great Pretender.
